On Tuesday May 20, a conference organized in partnership with the Vendanges du Savoir will be held. The conference will be open to symposium participants and the general public.
The event will take place at the same venue as the symposium (Agora auditorium, domaine du Haut-Carré, Talence).
The conference will be preceded by a tasting of wines from grape varieties resistant to mildew and powdery mildew, led by an oenologist.
7.00pm: wine tasting
7.30pm: start of the conference proper.
We will be delighted to welcome Olivier Jacquet (University of Burgundy) and François Delmotte (INRAE) to present their thoughts on the theme ‘A historian's and a biologist's perspective on the emergence of vine diseases in the 19th century: the history of invasions and their impact on the wine industry, its standards and practices’.
A registration system for participation in this event will be set up. The registration link will be sent to participants already registered to the symposium.
End of the event: around 8.45 pm
